Geistmaschine Debt Collection

1. Gather Your Documents

Before generating your PDF, collect the following:

• Order confirmation — the PDF/email from Geistmaschine showing your order details and payment
• Delivery date email — the communication promising April 2024 delivery
• Payment proof — credit card or bank statement showing the charge
• Communication records — any emails showing delays, excuses, or unanswered messages
• Evidence of ghosting — screenshots of unanswered emails/Discord messages since Nov 2024

2. Fill Out the Generator

Switch to the "PDF Generator" tab and fill in your personal details and order information. The debtor (Geistmaschine) info is pre-filled from their legal notice page. Add timeline events to document the history of delays.

3. Submit to Paywise.de

Submit your claim via their web form. Key info from paywise:

• They speak English and can send collection letters in English
• No upfront costs — debtor pays collection fees
• If nothing is recovered, you don't pay
• Court advance for claims under €1,000: approx. €38
• They check SCHUFA before enforcement to minimize costs
• Paywise keeps accrued default interest as commission; you keep 100% of your principal

4. Currency Considerations

Your order was likely charged in USD. When filing with a German collection agency, you may want to state the equivalent in EUR. Use the exchange rate from the date of your order, or the current rate — either is acceptable. The PDF generator lets you specify both the original currency and amount.

5. What Happens Next

Paywise will first attempt out-of-court collection by sending formal demand letters to Geistmaschine. If that fails, they can pursue court action through German courts (Geistmaschine's T&Cs specify German jurisdiction). As an international customer, you don't need to be present — paywise handles everything.
